At WDRR we are a not for profit organisation servicing the greater Darling Downs Region and surrounding Rural communities. During times of disaster we assist in and coordinate the rescue and recovery of our beloved native fauna and their environment. Our team of dedicated rescuers is built of valued members such as you! Membership is yearly from 01st July each year, memberships commencing in March will continue through until the following year.
Here at WDRR we do require all our members to be of 18 years or older due to the nature of the activities that take place in the field.

Membership
Our membership is paid on an annual basis at $50 per adult. We also offer a Family Membership (2x Adult Memberships) for an annual fee of $85. We offer two styles of membership to best suit you! Our membership renews 01st July each year. Membership commencing in March of each year will continue through until the following financial year.
Financial Members
Financial members support the organisation with fees helping us provide resources to continue our support to the environment and our Active Members. This includes PPE, rescue equipment, training and workshop days and of course supporting communities with the environmental impacts and aftermath of environmental disasters. As a financial member, you are also invited along to our training and workshops of interest to you.
Active Members
Active members are our feet on the ground, they are the members who are able to participate in various activities the organisation will attend during disaster events.

Volunteer Disclaimer
As a volunteer for Wildlife Disaster Rescue and Recovery (WDRR), you are covered under our volunteer insurance activities undertaken for WDRR. Any activities undertaken outside the direction or process WDRR has in place are not covered. The work conducted for WDRR is voluntary and you do so at your own risk. All sites are considered a workplace and therefore must display safe actions while undertaking all activities as per your general obligations under the WH&S legislation including reporting of identified risks to relevant WDRR parties. We value our volunteers and want to ensure everyone is safe to continue our vital work and see you home safe. To participate in WDRR activities, volunteers agree to attend the relevant training provided for that activity. Wildlife Disaster Rescue and Recovery Inc. is not a wildlife care group and do not issue wildlife care permits under DESI. The WDRR Committee reviews all new and renewing memberships and retain the right to not accept an application for membership if deemed inappropriate.
