2024 Covington Equine Association RULES
1. NO UNSUPERVISED children in the holding pen area. 2. Do NOT crowd the alley or alleyway entrance. 3. Please follow the hookup and parking directions on the facility map or you will be asked to move. 4. Please use proper exhibition etiquette.
5.Where a competitor draws on the ground is where the competitor will run(on the horse that it is
listed on) so please utilize pre entries and draw preferences, especially for multiple horses.
6. NO REFUNDS once draws are posted.
7. Payout will be in the form of cash or check determined by CEA Producers
8.CASH ONLY Pre Enter option - when pre entering a cash only event, producers must be notified
before pre draw is posted if a competitor cannot make the event. Failure to notify will result in an outstanding balance that must be paid before entering another CEA event. 9. Participants in Leadline must be led by a person(s) on foot. 10. No riding double at any time. 11. No riding in a halter and lead rope. 12. Animal abuse will not be tolerated. (Snatching, beating, seesawing, malnourishment, etc 13. Do NOT tie your horse to the arena (Indoor, Covered, Outdoor, cow chutes or holding pens 14. No tennis shoes, spaghetti strap tops, crop tops, or midriff-revealing tops. 15. No one is allowed in the office or concession stand except for CEA workers. 16. Any re-rides will be made at the end of the class. 17. Negative coggins required. 18. If your horse is a known kicker or biter, please do not take your horse into the holding pen until it is time for you to run. 19. Misbehaving Stallions are not permitted in the holding pens. 20. Minors must be signed up by a parent or legal guardian at each show. 21. Dogs must be leashed. 22. All riders ride at their own risk per Alabama Equine Law! 23. All complaints must be submitted in writing. Complaints will be addressed by the producers at the appropriate time. 24. Rules may be added or amended by the producers as the need arises.
Member Requirements (to receive awards)
Must work a minimum of 2 hours at CEA events ONLY
Must compete at a minimum of 3 CEA point shows (does not include February "Be Mine Barrel Bash" or December "Reindeer Dash") We will have t-shirt, jacket, vest, and horse sheet size on hand for year end awards.
